Cerebral Palsy and PVL

Children with Cerebral Palsy or PVL can require support with many stages of development. Working from what your child can do I support them to make the next improvement with maximum simplicity and ease. My experience is that the vast majority of children can learn to improve despite having a CP or PVL diagnosis.
In between the obvious milestones like crawling, sitting and walking are the smaller, more subtle areas of learning which make the larger movements possible and easy. I work to support your child`s learning in smaller and larger movements which can make the whole experience of moving and acting simpler, more precise and enjoyable.
The lessons can help children with Cerebral Palsy
- From the initial baby movements like turning the head, reaching and kicking to rolling, crawling, standing and walking and all the small stages in between.
- Reduce tension and pain
- Address sensory issues and over-sensitivity
- Improve gross and fine motor skills
- Move with greater precision and skill
- Speak and vocalise more clearly
- Gain confidence in movements and interactions
